In many applications today, computers have become increasingly seamless extensions of who we are. It is no different in the creative world.

I’ve been researching techniques in generative music for a number of years, and I have found it to be a means by which I can explain to a computer my compositional intentions … something of a musical style guide if you will … and then let it go create something.

The guidelines I set are demanding, in that they closely represent my personal language … but not so strict that with every rendering of a script, the musical result is ever the same. The results are often fascinating.

These are a few examples for your listening pleasure.
