  2. Hi Jim,
I replied to your comment over at Sequenza21 before coming over to your site here. Still, listening my way through, but the last (Gypsy Jazz) and this one (Oud Jam) would seem to contradict my impression of Noatikl as exclusively used for ambient soundscapes. Were these two done with Noatikl? I imagine you applied some (elaborate?) scripting in these cases?

    Good stuff.

  4. Hi Charlie,
Those two were done in Noatikl, and yes, there was some fair amount of scripting involved to wrangle that all out. But that’s why I keep working with the program . . . it IS a fairly extensible one, and capable of a rather wide variety of musical result. Actually, the most recent post up on the blog here uses the most elaborate scripting . . . oddly enough, to try to achieve one of the more simple results: a chord progression. Would really enjoy having a bit more conversation with you here and there . . . and thanks so much for the kind words! Cheers.

Description

A quick jam with a middle eastern feel.

These kinds of builds are funĀ . . . it’s like having cake that you keep adding more layers to.

A middle eastern instrument called the oud is the basis of all this. There’s much more to come . . .
