Description
This brings back fond memories of last summer in Henderson, NV. Linda and I were really trying to adjust to the heat. It just didn’t seem to be working. We enjoy getting out and about as much as we can, and especially on weekends. To enjoy each other of course, but also to get things done around the house. Once July rolled around, seems like at about 11:00AM we were toast, and felt like slugs. I guess in retrospect that explained why we never really saw too many neighbors until around October . . .
At any rate, I can remember one of those failed afternoons going outside for just a few moments, and fantasizing: ”I wonder what would happen if I threw up a piece of jute in the air? Would it just spontaneously combust because it’s so freaking hot?” This piece tries to recapture that moment . . .
